Crossword #1 - Crystal Physics

Dear Freshman Engineers, Can you crack it?

Here is the very first of Physics crosswords... This one is based entirely on Crystal Physics (Unit I of Engineering Physics I)

Across

2.            Fifteen? No, only fourteen!
3.            The point is the point is the point!
6.            Like a diamond in your hand, not so worthy 'cause of a bond!
8.            Same boxes in the stack, what's the difference? The rack!
9.            This is there, where nothing spare...
11.          As you sow so you reap, the single crystal is yours to keep!
12.          This way or that way? Ask me, my three numbers will say!
13.          Bricks are used to build a wall, Building a crystal? Use me, you shall!

Down

1.            Same as cubic but not so straight, slightly tilted still alright!
4.            No order, no pattern's same, Still a solid what's my name?
5.            On a substrate crystals grow, a tiny layer just above.
7.            I am simple one of my kind, I am cubic can you find?
10.          Growing crystal from its melt, moving slowly up ahead...
